Humanity Lands
Small gatherings, outdoors, where people from different fields walk and talk together on the land, away from screens. We ask what it means to be human and what it means to connect to the earth.
Each gathering brings a small group together outdoors, with a few guests who see the world in different ways. It might be a geologist, a psychologist, a theologian, a historian and someone who builds technology.
We walk. We stop. We share ideas about the land we live in, our connection to it, its history, its future.
Some events may have themes, others may not. There are no right answers, only good, healthy discussion and a sense of wonder.

People are losing touch with the world they live in: the ground underneath, the sky above, each other.
More of our lives happens behind screens. SOLM builds technology that stays in contact with the real world. Humanity Lands is the other half of that work: a bridge back to the land, to each other, and to the tools we make.
Technology is not the enemy. It needs its place. The aim is to enhance our connection with the world, not to replace it.

What does it mean to be human?
What does it mean to connect to the earth?
Nobody needs to believe anything to come.
Humanity Lands. At home, and in itself.

The first walk is by invitation. To hear about the next, leave your details below.

“Yet often the mountain gives itself most completely when I have no destination, when I reach nowhere in particular, but have gone out merely to be with the mountain as one visits a friend with no intention but to be with him.”
Where do you land?

Leave your details and we will write when there is one. Nothing else.
We will only write to you about Humanity Lands gatherings. Your details are kept separately from SOLM's, and you can leave at any time.
